Endless time pressed like a heavy burden upon God's being. All-knowing power and flawless command had become an insipid, repetitive hum. He craved the bitter taste of defeat, the fierce joy of earned success, the wild, messy allure of mortality. So he devised a daring plan.
First, he fashioned a being of pure potential, a vessel he named Zeno. Into this vessel, he poured the fullness of his omnipotence, the raw, boundless force that defined his glorious existence.
For himself, he chose a different path: a mortal shell, fragile and flawed. His soul was sealed within the endless cycle of rebirth, a faint spark of his true fire stripped of memory and might each time.
He would come to know desire, ecstasy, loss, and anxiety. He would fail, evolve, and fully embrace life.
The grand experiment had begun; God was now just another soul adrift in the sea of existence, ready to face the chaotic, stunning, and deeply human saga of life and death.
