Futurama Sex
Bender wasn't there. Not even a single shiny metal ass card to flip over, what kind of sick joke is this. You get Fry, sure, the dumb looking one with the red jacket and the expression like he just forgot his own name. But the whole thing is basically "remember where Amy's tits went" the game, with some Leela thrown in when you get further. And honestly the art looks like someone drew it on a napkin during a boring shift, which is fine, that's part of the charm I guess. The proportions are weird, Amy's head is huge in one card and normal in another, like her skull is inflating between rounds. I spent way too long staring at one specific card because I couldn't tell if it was her elbow or something else entirely. The game itself is that memory match thing you'd show a toddler with a concussion. Click squares, they flip, ooh a picture, find the twin. But the grid keeps getting bigger and the timer starts breathing down your neck. Round three was like six pairs, no problem. Round eight I'm sweating, clicking the same wrong card three times because my brain turned to pudding. The difficulty curve is less of a curve and more of a wall you run face-first into. And the pictures you unlock are just the same card art but bigger. No payoff except the satisfaction of a job... done? I don't even know why I kept playing. There's this one shot of Leela that you unlock pretty early, and it's just her eye. Just the one giant eye staring at you, like it's disappointed in your life choices. I kept going back to it because I couldn't stop laughing. Or maybe crying. There's no sound, the whole thing is silent like a graveyard, which makes the moment your timer hits zero and everything resets feel even more personal. Like the game itself is saying "nice try, idiot." Fry would understand. Complaining about the card placement is pointless because it's random, but I swear the Amy cards are always next to each other in the early rounds like the universe wants you to win fast so you can get punished later. And then when you fail and restart the whole thing from zero, which is a design choice that makes me want to throw my monitor, the pattern is different. Pure chaos. I wish they'd just included Zoidberg as a joke card, just a blurry mess. Missed opportunity.
