The first time you get a panty shot in this it’s framed like a goddamn jump scare. Like, full on horror sting and everything. Which, honestly, naming your town Dumbarton is a power move. You show up looking for answers and immediately get tangled with a girl who thinks she’s a pirate, another one who’s way too into cosplay and has an ass that the camera just cannot stop finding excuses to zoom in on, and a whole harem of weirdos in a school setting that feels like a fever dream someone had after watching too much anime and playing a low budget Resident Evil knockoff. The voyeurism stuff is baked right into the mechanics, not just the scenes. You’ll be in a POV conversation and the dialogue options are basically “be a decent human” or “stare directly at her chest until she notices.” And the blackmail route, man. It’s not some dark, gritty thing. It’s played for this absurdist comedy where you’re threatening to expose a classmate’s secret cosplay blog and she’s crying but her tits are jiggling like a bowl of jelly and the music is still this plinky plonky mystery tune. The sound design is a mess. A beautiful, horny mess. Voice acting during a teasing scene will suddenly cut out and leave you in silence with just the wet sounds, which is somehow more effective. I spent way too long on one choice where a monster girl cornered me in my room, and the decision to fight or hide felt less about survival and more about which specific flavor of “big tits in your face” death I wanted. The virgin protagonist angle means every encounter has this layer of panic that makes the explicit stuff feel more charged, even when the 3DCG models clip through each other during a supposedly tense blackmail payoff. The horror tag is real though, not just a label. There’s a moment with a shadow in the hallway that genuinely unnerved me more than the sex scenes, which then made the next teasing scene with the pirate girl feel like a relief. A weird, horny cycle.
