Dating of the Future [Demo v1.0.1]
The first time Vee gets railed against the window of her high-rise apartment while the neon city flickers outside, I actually laughed. Not because it was funny, but because this game somehow made a threesome with a nervous catgirl robot and a genderfluid synth feel like the most natural thing in the world. The cum drips down the glass in pixelated glory while jazz chords ping softly in the background, and I'm sitting there thinking about how this is supposed to be a porn game but I'm genuinely invested in whether this anxious wreck of a machine will ever figure out what she actually wants. The dialogue system feels like it was written by someone who's spent way too much time on Discord. Characters send you emails between scenes, and I kept checking them obsessively like I was waiting for a crush to respond. The futanari route caught me off guard. Not because of the content, but because the emotional beats actually land between the depraved stuff. There's this one scene with multiple penetration that shouldn't work tonally but somehow does. The retro pixel art is doing something weird where the limitations make everything hotter. The big tits and big ass character designs would look ridiculous in high definition, but in chunky sprites they hit different. The censorship toggle is a nice touch. I left it off because I'm not a coward. Some of the exhibitionism scenes play out in public spaces where other robots are just going about their day, and the casualness of it all is what makes it stick. The sci-fi setting means nobody questions why two monster girls are going at it in a park. Post-post-apocalypse has its perks I guess. The chiptune jazz fusion soundtrack has no right being this good. I caught myself humming one of the tracks while making coffee and had to sit down and think about my choices. The lesbian route with the repair technician is probably the strongest writing wise, though the dating sim structure means you'll miss half the content on a single playthrough. The humor lands more often than not, which is rare in a genre where jokes usually feel like they were written by an algorithm trained on bad sitcoms. The teasing dialogue options let you be genuinely mean sometimes and the characters react accordingly. I accidentally made one of the love interests cry and felt bad about it for the rest of the day.
