Scorching Summer Nights
Hiding in the bushes watching her pack that tiny swim bag is the whole first loop basically. Not in a creepy way, well okay, exactly in a creepy way but the game knows it. You just click around the fence line like a malfunctioning sim while the "investigate" prompt flashes. Took me forever to figure out you gotta change your own outfit before the pool event triggers. Not her outfit, yours. I was stuck in my default boring shirt for three in-game days thinking the game was broken. The pixel hunt is real and nobody warns you about the sleep mechanic being the actual save point. The pool scene itself, when you finally get there, is like finding a cold drink in a hot car. Worth it but also why did it take so long. She does this little stretch thing on the diving board and the animation loops in a way that feels almost aggressive. Like the dev was so proud of those three frames they decided you will watch them fifty times. And you do. The naked tag is there but it's more of a slow burn, a peek-a-boo through splashing water that never quite resolves how you want. There's this one moment where her swimsuit strap slips and the game freezes for a microsecond, probably a loading hitch, but it felt intentional. Made me choke on my drink. The dating tag is a lie though. There's no affection meter, no dialogue trees. It's more like a nature documentary where you're the camera guy with a heat stroke. Day by day the routine of investigate, pool, sleep becomes this weird rhythm. You start noticing the background trees repeating. One cloud shape looks like a butt and I can't unsee it. The adventure is figuring out what the hell the game actually wants from you, which is a different kind of tension. Girl next door is just there, existing, while you fumble through a swimsuit inventory that only has two options. Don't get me started on the towel physics. Or lack of them.

Love Next Door
I gave the VP character a receding hairline in my head. The game doesn't show it, all the CGs are polished hentai with perfect jawlines and that one strand of hair falling over the eyes thing, but I know. You don't get to vice president without your body betraying you in small, specific ways. The neighbor girls, Maya and Sora I think, they don't see it. They see the new apartment, the confidence, the mysterious older guy who just moved in next door. The game runs on that fantasy. It's a visual novel where you click through dialogue and occasionally get a choice that branches the story toward one girl or the other or, if you're not an idiot, both. The writing has this weird rhythm where the protagonist's inner monologue sounds like a LinkedIn post written by someone who just discovered the word "hustle." He talks about slowing down, smelling roses, but the game's pacing is pure grindset. You meet Maya in the hallway, she drops a box, you help, she invites you for coffee. The coffee scene has a CG where her shirt is slightly unbuttoned and you can see the lace of her bra. Standard stuff. But then there's this moment where you can choose to comment on her bookshelf or her body, and if you pick bookshelf, the conversation actually gets more intimate. I respect that. Most games would punish you for not being a horndog. The threesome route requires some genuinely counterintuitive dialogue choices. I had to restart twice because I kept being too direct with Sora, the younger one who works at a bakery. She responds better to you being kind of dismissive, which feels like something the writer learned from a pickup artist forum in 2014. The sex scenes are fully voiced in Japanese, and the sound mixing is terrible. One moment you're reading text in silence, the next there's moaning so loud my cat woke up and stared at me with pure judgment. No volume slider. I checked. Three times. There's a scene where you're in your apartment and both girls knock at the same time. The game handles it like a sitcom, you have to choose who to hide in the bedroom. I picked Sora. Maya found her anyway. The confrontation that follows is actually the best written part of the whole thing, real tension, real jealousy, and then it just dissolves into a threesome because of course it does. The CG for that scene has a weird anatomy error where Maya's arm looks like it's attached to Sora's shoulder. I can't unsee it. You won't be able to either.
