Life is Isekai - The stories v0.16
The whole setup is like someone took Life is Strange and asked what if the headmaster was just the absolute worst person. Not in a cartoon villain way but in that quiet, pathetic, this guy definitely has a drawer full of secrets way. You get dropped into Blackwell Academy with the flimsiest excuse for authority and immediately the game is like, here's a corruption meter, go nuts. I spent the first ten minutes just clicking on every female character to see the dialogue options and the game does not pretend to be anything other than what it is. The pov stuff is weirdly effective because it's so unpolished. The animations have that janky, slightly off rhythm like someone learned rigging from a youtube tutorial but honestly that adds something. There's this one scene with the blonde teacher, forget her name, where the handjob sequence loops awkwardly three times before the next dialogue triggers and I laughed but also didn't click away. The blackmail mechanic is just a series of increasingly stupid choices. You can push things too far and the game just shrugs and resets you to a checkpoint. No consequences, no moralizing. It's almost refreshing how little it cares about justifying itself. The isekai framing is barely there. Something about being transported into the game world but it's just window dressing for the fantasy of power without responsibility. The big tits and big ass character designs are exactly what you expect from a patreon funded parody project. What stuck with me though, and I hate that it did, is how the school setting makes everything feel more invasive. These are supposed to be students. The game knows this and leans into it with the harassment scenarios in a way that made me genuinely uncomfortable during one scene in the library. Not in a this is hot way but in a why am I still playing this way. And then two minutes later I'm optimizing my corruption strategy like it's a resource management sim. The disconnect is the most interesting part.

Strange Nights v0.7.1
Right so this is a Life is Strange parody where you play as that skeevy photography teacher, Mark Jefferson. Remember him? The game gives you mind control powers because of course it does. I spent maybe twenty minutes clicking through, seeing what happens when you rewind time not to save a friend but to, you know, slowly corrupt your students. The whole thing feels like someone took a Tumblr darkfic from 2015 and coded it into Renpy with zero shame. There's this one scene early on where you can use your rewind to manipulate a conversation with Max and the dialogue options read like a predator's daydream. The animation is stiff as hell, 3DCG models looking like mannequins with dead eyes, but honestly that uncanny valley vibe kinda adds to the creep factor. The corruption path mechanics are basic but effective. You make a choice, see the immediate result, rewind if you want a different flavor of wrong. What got me was how the game never pretends you're anything but the villain. No redemption arc bait, no moralizing. You want to dominate the entire female cast through time manipulation and mind control? Here's the button. There's a branching moment with Chloe that splits into either coercion or... different coercion, and I kept reloading saves like an idiot trying to see if the game would let me be less of a monster. It won't. The lesbian content tags feel almost incidental, like the devs just ticked boxes for every possible fetish and let the player sort it out. The BDSM elements show up in scenes with the teacher character, which is weirdly self referential considering you ARE the teacher. Handjobs, anal, vaginal, the whole checklist gets filled. The writing has this strange quality where sentences sometimes trip over themselves grammatically, like a non native speaker trying to sound edgy, but then a genuinely unsettling line lands and you remember you're playing a game about a serial killer with a camera. I unironically appreciate that the parody angle is so deadpan. No winks to the audience. Just Jefferson narrating his thoughts while ruining lives. The detective tags seem to promise some mystery but that content isn't fully implemented yet, which is frustrating because I wanted to see how the game would handle investigating yourself. Anyway the mind control scenes are animated with this robotic thrusting motion that loops poorly and I laughed during what was supposed to be a serious corruption moment. Not sure if that's a feature or just early development jank. Probably both.
