The church management thing, I don't know. It felt like paperwork. You get these followers for the Church of Elana and you have to manage them, and I just wanted to get back to the part where the archmage was doing... well. The archmage final event. That sequence lives in my head rent free, the way the power dynamics shift completely, it's not just about the lust magic, it's about how broken the world is and how Elana fits into that brokenness, or maybe how she breaks it further. The writing in that part is genuinely good, which is weird to say when you're also watching a very explicit animation of the same scene. It's like the game forgets it's supposed to be just fap material and tries to be a real dark fantasy for a minute. The new animations, nine of them, are rough. Deliberately unpolished is the tag, and they mean it. Some of the combat animations, there's five new ones, look like a flipbook made by someone who was very horny but only had five minutes. And yet. There's a charm to it. The wild people village segment has this raw, almost uncomfortable energy. The sex scenes there aren't smooth or glamorous, they feel transactional and desperate, which fits the story of a champion losing herself to lust in a demon war. The two cinematics, one is six minutes long, are a jumble of still images and text that somehow builds more tension than a fully voiced cutscene in a AAA game. The music from Tomas Polcic helps, it's surprisingly somber. I got stuck in the demons' world for a while. Not because of a puzzle, but because I kept reloading a choice with Jane.
