Zoe and Vince
The whole thing has that Lesson of Passion sheen, you know the one, where the 3d models look like they've been polished with a thin layer of vegetable oil. Vince has the default male protagonist build, shoulders like a coat hanger, and Zoe, the blonde, she's got that single expression that hovers somewhere between mild indigestion and perpetual surprise. The road trip setup is barely there, a car interior that repeats, a motel room that repeats, a diner that repeats. But that's not the point, is it. I got stuck on a choice involving a broken air conditioner and a very small, very impractical piece of fabric Zoe calls a top. The game presents it as a simple "fix it / don't fix it" binary. I clicked "fix it," expecting some sweaty, mechanical foreplay. Instead, the whole scene derailed into a twenty minute sequence about Vince trying to find a specific screwdriver. I'm not joking. The quest marker led to a glovebox, then a trunk, then back to the glovebox. The payoff, when it finally arrived, was so aggressively mediocre it circled back to being fascinating. The animation looped three times. Her shoulder clipped through the car seat. I couldn't look away. It's like watching a nature documentary about awkwardly rendered polygons discovering friction. There's a branching path that leads to a surprisingly direct scene behind a roadside attraction, a giant plastic dinosaur, which I respect. No pretence. Just a blonde, a guy with no neck, and a theropod. The various endings thing is real, I got one where they just... broke up over a disagreement about map directions. No sex, just a text box saying "The journey ends here." It felt like a personal attack. I wish the dialogue had even one line that sounded like a human being talking, but it won't. The whole game is a strange, sticky fever dream where everyone's skin is too smooth and every decision is a gamble between a badly looped handjob and a sudden, inexplicable breakup. I'm still thinking about that screwdriver.

Lust Storm va1.3.3
The CG gallery unlocks in a weird order. I still don't understand why the third scene appears before the second one, but whatever. Lust Storm is one of those visual novels where you can practically smell the wet clothes and pine needles. Two girlfriends, a storm, a cabin, and this guy who's supposedly studying for exams. Sure. The voice acting caught me off guard because the nervous one actually sounds nervous, not like someone reading lines in a booth while scrolling Twitter. The setup is so specific it wraps back around to being relatable. Lost on a road trip, desperate for shelter, and then there's this virgin college student alone in his family's forest house. The tension between the girls is the real engine here. Sometimes they're playful, sometimes it gets sharp, and the guy is just... there. Trying to process what's happening. There's a moment when one of the girls "accidentally" brushes against him while reaching for a blanket and the internal monologue is pure panic. I laughed. Then I didn't. The art does this thing where the breasts seem to defy physics in exactly the way you want them to. Big, soft, always somehow the focal point even when the scene is supposed to be about something else. The camping aesthetic is just an excuse for tight shorts and wet t-shirts, which, respect. The CGs are the main draw and they don't disappoint, though I wish the cabin had more than like three backgrounds. The storm outside becomes this metaphor for the escalating situations inside, and nobody can leave, and the student's inexperience becomes less of a barrier and more of a... catalyst? Is that the word? The romantic bits feel genuine in a way that surprised me, buried under all the obvious setup. One of the girls has this laugh that plays during a scene and it looped three times before I realized it was a bug. Didn't even care.
