Tears of Maku Live
My friend sent me a link, said "check this retro thing" and honestly I expected a slideshow. It is not a slideshow. It's like someone dug up a floppy disk from 1998 that should not exist. The whole thing runs in browser, no fuss, just loads these chunky pixel scenes that move. And by move I mean the hentai logic where clothes evaporate and things get wetter with every loop. The setup is weirdly modular. Bottom of the screen has these big clunky icons, five of them, each jumps to a different animated scenario. A shrine maiden pinned against a wall, some tentacle business in a dark room, that classic girl on a train getting groped by invisible hands. You know the drill. What got me was the sliders. Two of them, one for zoom and one for speed. Cranking the speed slider turns a slow grind into this frantic jackhammer mess that looks ridiculous and hot at the same time, pixels smearing together. I spent too long just dragging it back and forth, mesmerized. There is a color shifting option too. Makes everyone look like aliens. Not sure why it's there but I respect the chaos. You can also toggle the dialogue text off, which is good because the writing is... well, it's there. "Ohh yes harder" type stuff. The pixel art itself is actually detailed for what it is, nipples and fluids rendered in glorious blocky resolution. Some scenes loop more smoothly than others. The tentacle one has this awkward pause before repeating that kills the mood a bit, like a record skipping. But then the shrine maiden scene has this perfect hip roll that I've definitely mentally filed away for a routine I'm workshopping. Is it weird to choreograph burlesque from pixel porn? Asking for a friend. The friend is me. I'm the friend.
