My Hero Rising v1.0
I swear this thing started like a joke. You know that feeling when you open a “fan project” expecting jank, and then you end up three hours later mumbling *why the hell am I emotionally invested in this pixelated mess?* Yeah, that. It’s not even subtle about what it wants - every route feels like a fever dream cooked in some basement full of horny energy drinks. One minute you’re in a dimly lit classroom, the next you’re somehow tangled up in a scene that’s way too specific to be accidental. The way it shifts tone - like, soft whispers one second, then full-on chaos the next - it shouldn’t work, but it does, kinda. Maybe it’s because the characters don’t act perfect; they actually mess up their lines, stumble, laugh in the wrong places. It’s weirdly charming. Or maybe I’m just broken. Hard to tell anymore. There’s a moment - and I’m not exaggerating here - where the sound cuts out right before the scene hits its peak, and you can almost hear your own heartbeat. That silence? It’s murder. Then bam, everything crashes back in like a busted speaker at 2 a.m., and suddenly you’re choking on your drink because it’s *too much*. The dev clearly knew what they were doing with pacing, even if half of it feels like it was written by someone drunk on nostalgia and Red Bull. The transitions between characters feel like walking through dreams; you never know who’s going to appear next, or what they’ll be wearing (or not wearing). There’s this heavy sense of intimacy, but it’s not clean - it’s messy, sweaty, uncomfortable in the best way. I laughed, I cringed, I… yeah. Let’s not unpack that. Anyway, I’d say it’s trash. But I’ve replayed it twice. So maybe I’m trash too. Whatever. It’s not about perfection - it’s about those tiny, stupid moments where the screen fades out and you sit there, grinning like an idiot, pretending you’re not into it. Spoiler: you are.

The BloodRiver Saga: Retransmitter - v.0.05 P4
This one’s a Renpy mess in the best way. The art is that kind of AI CG where sometimes a hand has six fingers and other times Himiko Toga’s tits look like they’re trying to escape her chest in different directions. I don’t even care. The whole setup is Izuku never got One For All, instead some cold bastard mentor twists him into a guy who still wants to be a hero but has zero problem groping Ochako during combat training. There’s a scene early on where he corners Toru Hagakure and you can’t even see her but the dialogue goes fully degenerate, describing the wet sounds while the screen just shows a floating school uniform. Ridiculous. Forgot to mention the actual gameplay. It’s mostly clicking through text but there’s these weird stat checks that pop up during fights. Like you’re supposed to be a calculating anti-hero but then Mina Ashido gives you a handjob in the support course lab while Mei Hatsume is literally in the same room tinkering and not noticing. That’s the kind of spatial awareness this parody has. Momo’s titfuck scene is locked behind some romance point system that never explains itself. I reloaded saves for twenty minutes. The isekai tag is there but honestly it barely matters. You just wake up different and start putting your dick in everything. Tsuyu’s cunnilingus scene has her wrapped around Deku’s face while Bakugo is screaming in the background somewhere off screen. That contrast, the angry explosions while the protagonist is eating out a frog girl, that’s peak fiction. The footjob with Jirou was weirdly tender though. Didn’t expect that. Dare to play it alone, or invite company?

RE: Hero Academia v2 - 0.3
The clicking. Always the clicking. My finger hovered over Momo’s blouse, the cursor a trembling little betrayer. The game looks like it was drawn in a notebook during a boring class, all flat colors and lines that don’t quite meet. And that’s exactly why it works. It feels like finding a dirty secret in someone’s locker, not a polished product. You’re some dead hero, time-warped back to U.A. High, and the plot is just a flimsy curtain between you and the next chance to “accidentally” bump into Toru while she’s, well, invisible and very, very tangible. Got stuck for ten minutes trying to trigger a scene with Midnight. Not because of a puzzle, but because the hitbox was the size of a pixel on her left glove. Fucking infuriating. But then the scene played out, her leaning over my desk, and the crudeness of the art made the power dynamic feel more raw. Less fantasy, more like a grimy daydream. The voyeur bits are the main course, obviously. Peeking through a gap in the wall at the girls’ changing room. The sound of a zipper is just a text line, but your brain fills in the rest. You’re not a hero. You’re a creep with time-travel powers, and the game never pretends otherwise. Masturbation scenes are oddly clinical. A loop of a hand moving. I wish they’d put the same weird energy into those as they did with the groping mechanics. Clicking on Jiro’s earphone jack until she shudders, that has a strange, specific charge to it. The whole thing runs on a point-and-click engine that feels held together with tape. It crashed once when I tried to talk to Mei. Just blinked out. Didn’t even care. Reloaded, went straight for Toga’s event. She smiled that knife-smile and I forgot what I was complaining about. The game doesn’t give a shit about your impending doom plot. It knows why you’re here, and so do you.

Ways of the Hero - v1.0
ok so you know those MHA parody games that pop up on itch and you think yeah right another one but then you actually click and its got that specific jank that somehow works. the 3dcg is... look its not polished. midnight's hair clips through her shoulder sometimes and kendo's hands look like they were modeled by someone who heard about hands once but never saw them. but theres something about the way ochako looks at the camera during certain scenes that got me restarting runs just to see if the rng would give me her route again. the point and click bits are basic. click door, go to class, click girl, trigger scene. you're some dude at UA, male protagonist obviously, and the whole thing is this weird visual novel roguelike hybrid where choices actually lock you out of stuff. missed a conversation with jiro in the hallway and suddenly shes not in the pool scene later. thats the replayability hook i guess. toru's scenes are... creative given the invisibility thing. the dev definitely had to think about how to make that work in 3d. the school setting is mostly just hallways and classrooms but the lighting during the night scenes is surprisingly decent. midnight's route has this one detention scenario that honestly made me forget the jank for a solid ten minutes. itsuka's content feels unfinished though, like they ran out of time before adding the second half of her arc. typical for these projects. what bugs me is the save system. or lack of one. you gotta finish a run to unlock gallery stuff and if you close the browser its gone. i lost a kyoka scene that way and just stared at my screen. the parody elements are there but the writing takes itself seriously enough that the lewd bits hit harder than they should. not gonna pretend its some masterpiece but ive got it bookmarked and thats more than i can say for most of the stuff i try on a whim.

Low ranked heroes v0.105
I keep a folder on my work laptop labeled "quarterly reports" that's just these VNs. Boss walked by while Mina was doing that thing with her tongue and I had to fake a coughing fit so hard I nearly choked. Worth it though. This MHA parody takes the whole "lowest ranked academy" premise and runs with it in ways that'd make Horikoshi spit out his tea. You're guiding Izuku through a timeline where everything's slightly off, slightly hornier, and nobody's bothering with hero licenses. The art's deliberately rough around the edges, like someone drew it during detention, but somehow that makes the lewd scenes hit different. Tsuyu's route caught me off guard with how much dialogue they gave her. Actually made me forget I was supposed to be working on spreadsheets for a solid twenty minutes. The Tokoyami scenes are... look, Dark Shadow gets involved and I'm not saying it's canon but I'm also not saying it shouldn't be. Navigation's clunky as hell though. Click detection feels like it was calibrated by someone wearing oven mitts. Missed an entire Hagakure scene because the hotspot was apparently one pixel wide and I clicked slightly left. Who designs this? And why does Inko's sprite keep doing that weird eye thing during conversations? Distracting in a way that's definitely not intended. The alternate universe setup means characters act slightly off model personality wise, which you'll either love or hate. Mina's more aggressive, Toru's got this exhibitionist streak that the main series only hints at, and Izuku actually has confidence. Imagine that. Some routes dead end abruptly with no warning, like the writer just ran out of steam mid scene. But when it works, it works. That one scene with Tsuyu using her tongue in ways that'd get you expelled from UA proper? Core memory material. Just save often and keep your alt tab reflexes sharp.
