Fuckfest Kitten: College Sim 2
The sound design in Sex Kitten: School 2 is a deliberate mess and I can't stop thinking about it. There's this one looping classroom ambience track that's just a 4-second clip of what I swear is a fluorescent light buzz sampled from a real recording made on a phone from 2007. It crackles at the exact same point every loop, right at 2.8 seconds in, a tiny pop that my brain now anticipates like a beat drop. The quiz correct/incorrect sounds are ripped straight from some ancient Japanese variety show, that high pitched "ping" for right answers and a wet fart noise for wrong ones. I spent twenty minutes failing the math questions on purpose just to trigger that fart sound in rapid succession, layering them into a symphony of stupidity while Slutty McSlut's text box filled with increasingly unhinged threats about my IQ. The voice acting, if you can call it that, is just a handful of moans and gasps triggered during the "reward" scenes with the hentai hotties. They're compressed to hell, peaking into digital distortion every time the school nurse character does her thing. It sounds like someone recorded it through a sock. But that's the point, right? This whole game is a shitpost that somehow got a sequel. The audio isn't just unpolished, it's aggressively, knowingly bad, like the devs at Forkheads specifically chose the worst possible takes and then ran them through a bitcrusher for good measure. There's a moment where you click on a background character and a stock scream plays that's so overused I recognized it from a Newgrounds flash animation about stick figures fighting. I laughed so hard I missed the next quiz question and got the fart noise again. The real star is the complete absence of sound where you'd expect it. The media center you blew your money on sits there in the background of the home screen, totally silent. No startup hum, no channel static. Just a mute monument to your character's failure. It's a better joke than any of the written dialogue. I kept clicking on it hoping for a secret sound effect, some kind of payoff, but nothing. Just the faint buzz of that goddamn fluorescent light loop, reminding me I should be studying.
