Monster Lover 2 Ambrosilas v1.0

Ambrosilas is a prick. A hot prick, but still. I booted this up expecting maybe a tragic yakuza story with some spicy demon action, and what I got was a visual novel that constantly calls you a worthless screw up. The main character, who you name, is basically a walking disaster who summoned a murder genie without reading the fine print. Classic. The art is that semi realistic style, and the CGs... fuck me, the one where Ambrosilas has the MC pinned against the wall with that look of pure disdain while his hand is... let's just say exploring. The anatomy on those pinup variations is *chef's kiss*. There's a specific anal scene that unlocks on a bad end route that I had to replay three times to get all the variations. The way the text describes the demon's claws digging in just enough while he's making his point, it's that perfect mix of monster and man that gets the blood pumping. The whole thing is a disaster of poor decisions. The MC needs to give the demon a name to kill, but his target isn't "worthy of death," so now he's on the chopping block. The dialogue options are hilariously pathetic. You can literally try to flirt your way out of it, and Ambrosilas just stares at you like you're a bug. The BDSM elements aren't just tacked on either, they're woven into the power dynamic. The demon has all of it, and the MC has none. Getting the ending where the dynamic flips, even slightly, took some serious save scumming. The humor is dark, which I appreciate. Nothing like a demon making a dry joke about your life expectancy while his tail is doing something obscene. The five endings aren't all sunshine and rainbows, which is good. Some of them are downright bleak and horny in equal measure. The writing doesn't pull punches, it's 50k words of a sexy monster being utterly done with a criminal's incompetence. The only thing that irked me was the gallery unlock system. Why do I have to replay the entire common route just to get a single variation on the third CG? It's a minor gripe for a game that otherwise knows exactly what it is: a gay, monster fucking power struggle with a hot demon who could kill you but might decide to do other things first. The yaoi tag is strong with this one.
