Hooked! v0.5.4

Who the hell thought giving a clueless fisherman a video camera and three aspiring porn stars was a good idea? Some genius, that's who. This whole thing feels like a lost sitcom pilot from 2003 that somehow got hornier. You're this guy, right? Total blank slate, probably smells like bait, and suddenly he's the center of a very specific, very naked universe. The animation has that particular janky charm, you know the one. Bodies move with this rubbery enthusiasm during the group scenes that's honestly more funny than it is smooth. But the teasing. The teasing is where it's at. There's this one handjob scene early on where the girl keeps stopping to explain her "brand strategy" for the adult industry, and the protagonist just sits there with this dumb, glazed look. I lost it. The writing doesn't pretend to be deep, it's just rapid-fire goofy dialogue and then bam, a surprisingly well-framed shot of a big ass that makes you forget the plot for a second. The romance path is weirdly sweet, like finding a candy bar in a tackle box. You pick one girl to focus on, and the humor shifts from pure slapstick to something a bit more... I don't know, awkwardly genuine? Then you make a "naughty video" and the whole thing collapses back into animated group sex chaos. The big tits physics are set to maximum jello, which is a choice. A glorious, scientifically questionable choice. My only real beef, and I will die on this hill, is the fisherman's hat. It stays on. During everything. I started a whole conspiracy theory in my head that it's glued to his scalp or hiding a terrible secret. The game never addresses it. Never. I'm still mad. Anyway the whole thing is a lighthearted mess that knows exactly what it is.
