The coffee menu screen sits there for maybe five minutes while you figure out what the hell a Hazelnut Latte actually means in this place. Not the drink. The barista. Phil, or Hazel depending on how you read the nametag, has this way of leaning against the counter that makes the apron look like a costume from one of those maid cafes but wrong somehow. Better. The animation when they tuck hair behind an ear is looped but I watched it seven times before ordering anything. The espresso route is straightforward. Quick. Gets you to the back room fast where the cosplay stuff starts and suddenly there's a strap on involved and you're not sure who's teasing who anymore. But the frappe path. That's where the game gets weirdly tender for something that ends with creampie scenes animated in that slightly jerky 2D style that mobile games use when they're trying to hide budget constraints. There's this moment on the frappe route where Hazel talks about why they chose the name, and it's the only time the writing stops feeling like a setup for the next sex scene. Then literally thirty seconds later you're getting a handjob under the counter while another customer walks in. The tonal whiplash should ruin it but somehow doesn't. The trap tag is misleading. Hazel isn't hiding anything, the game's pretty upfront that you're dealing with a futa situation, and the male protagonist handles it with this confused enthusiasm that feels more realistic than most VNs bother with. The anal scenes have this weird attention to prep that most games skip, like someone on the dev team actually researched or something, but then the oral animations use the exact same three frames regardless of which route you're on. Wish they'd fixed that. Probably won't. The romance bits between the fucking are actually trying, which is more than I expected from a browser game I found at 2am while avoiding sleep. The cafe setting gets abandoned halfway through and you're just in someone's apartment and I kind of missed the coffee shop aesthetic by the end.
