The combat minigame is a fucking mess. I don't know why it's here. You click circles or something while a goblin stabs you, and I just wanted to see the next scene with the elf chick who has this whole thing about "purifying" your dragon essence. Whatever that means. The game calls itself a Skyrim based visual novel but it's really just a slideshow of modded screenshots with some voice acting that sounds like someone recorded it in their bathroom. The orc woman's voice has this weird echo. I couldn't stop laughing. But then there's this moment. You're in a tavern, and the barmaid, she's not even a main companion, just some random NPC, and she gives you this look. The POV shifts, and suddenly you're not the last DragonDong on some epic quest. You're just a guy, and she's showing you where the clean towels are, and her hand lingers on your arm. The animation for that scene, the way her fingers trace down, it's not the janky combat shit. It's smooth, 60fps, and the sound of her breathing, no music, just that. I forgot about the virgin tag until that moment. Makes sense for the character, I guess, this whole "chosen one" thing. The gear system. You collect armor and it changes your stats, but also what scenes you can access. High charisma gear unlocks dialogue options that lead to, well, you know. The reputation thing with factions, I grinded the mage guild for an hour just to see if the headmistress would finally, and she did, and it involved this whole ritual where she had to "extract" the dragon lineage. Lots of oral, very detailed, the mods they used for the character models are doing a lot of heavy lifting. The replay gallery is a nice touch because honestly some of these scenes you want to see again without dealing with the stupid card game combat or whatever that is. The affection system, I maxed out the rogue girl, and her final scene, it's in a waterfall cave, vaginal, but the way the water effects look, it's almost too much. Like someone discovered particle effects and went wild. I don't know. The music swells at weird times. Sometimes during a blowjob you get this epic orchestral score like you're storming a castle, and it's disorienting but also kind of perfect? I can't decide if this game is genius or just a collection of fetishes held together with duct tape. Probably both.
