I don't know who decided that Nier Automata needed a card battle strip game but here we are, and honestly the redhead cosplayer carries this whole thing. She's got that 2B look down, white hair and all, while the other model is just... there. Sword props look cheap but who's looking at the swords. The arcade setup throws two opponents at you simultaneously, left and right, each playing knight cards you have to counter. It's basically multitasking while distracted, which is the entire point I guess. You win a round, they lose clothes. Standard stuff. The card mechanics are simple enough that you can zone out and just react, which is good because the real models are actually the draw here. The redhead especially, she's got this smirk during the strip sequences that makes losing on purpose almost worth it. Almost. The lingerie choices are decent, nothing groundbreaking but they fit the cosplay theme. The game calls itself unpolished and yeah, it's not lying. Animations are stiff, the card art looks like placeholder assets, and sometimes the hit detection just... doesn't. You'll swear you played the right card and nope, there goes your streak. But the photo sequences between rounds, those are where the budget went. The models actually look like they're having fun, which is rare in these things. Usually it's dead eyes and awkward posing. Here the redhead especially sells it, that little sword twirl before the strip, the way she looks at the camera. The white wig is slightly off center in one scene and nobody fixed it. I noticed. You will too now. Sorry. Wish there was more variety in the card types, or that the difficulty curve made any sense at all. One round you're breezing through, next round the AI decides you've had enough fun. But the core loop works if you're here for the obvious reason. Just don't expect deep strategy. Expect two attractive cosplayers and a card game that knows exactly what it is.
