Just Bros v2.27

You ever notice how in these games the muscle guys always have the personality of a wet gym sock? Just Bros kinda sidesteps that, sometimes. The art is rough, like someone's first tablet drawings, but there's a charm to it. You're this dude, and you're just... around. Other dudes are around too. Some are twinks, some are proper daddies, the whole buffet. The game doesn't make a big deal about it, which is nice. You click, you read, you pick a choice that's basically "be a dick" or "be less of a dick" and see what pants come off. The writing has this weird energy where a character will say something genuinely funny and then the next line is pure wooden exposition about his job as a firefighter. I ended up chasing a personal trainer who was so aggressively stereotypical it looped back to being hot. The sex scenes are direct. No fade to black, no poetry. Just descriptions of what's going where, with the same slightly clumsy phrasing as the rest of the text. It works because the whole thing feels unpolished, so the explicit bits don't feel jarringly out of place. They feel like the rest of the game, just with more fluids. There's a hookup system too, one night stands that pop up, and I stumbled into one with a delivery guy that had no business being that detailed. The choice system is a lie half the time. I picked what I thought was a flirty option and the protagonist basically called the guy's mother a whore. Tone is all over the place. But then a route with a quiet artist type actually had some sweet moments, and the sex scene there felt earned, not just a reward for clicking correctly. The muscle definition on some sprites looks like they're made of lumpy clay, but the dad bod on the older romance option is surprisingly well done. It's a mess. A horny, earnest mess that knows exactly what it is.
