It’s the eyes that get me first. Not like, oh pretty eyes, but the way they follow even when the screen is still. This guy, this stalker, he’s got you pinned in a snowy alley and the whole game is just his face taking up my monitor while I’m trying to remember if I locked my door. The art is deliberately messy, like a sketch that got wet, and I thought that would bother me but it actually makes the whole thing feel like a memory I shouldn’t have. He says he saved me. I don’t remember that. Do I? The choices are simple. Submit or resist. I clicked resist first because obviously, but the dialogue just curls back on itself like a snake eating its own tail. He doesn’t get angry. That’s the thing. He gets sad, or worse, patient. There’s a moment where he describes exactly what he wants to do with my body, and the text is so blunt it made my face hot. Not flowery at all. Just “I will take you apart.” And the music, or whatever that droning sound is, it doesn’t stop. I wish there was a way to just leave the alley. There isn’t. You’re just there. With him. Forever, basically. Forgot to mention the breathing. When you pick submit, the screen does this weird zoom thing and he says “good girl” and I actually closed the tab. Then reopened it. The whole thing is maybe fifteen minutes long and I’ve played it four times now looking for a third option that doesn’t exist. My phone buzzed during one scene and I nearly threw it. The yandere thing, yeah, it’s there, but it’s not cute anime obsession. It’s claustrophobic. He doesn’t want a girlfriend. He wants a possession. And the worst part is how the writing makes you understand why he thinks that’s romantic. I keep thinking about the line where he calls my resistance “cute” and I want to punch him but also I clicked submit again just to see if the text changes. It does. A little.
