The bar fight tutorial is a bottle to the face, then ashes in the eyes, and you're already bleeding. Johnny's not a hero, he's a fuckup who stole from the wrong dealer and now every thug in this pixelated shithole wants his teeth. The game forces you through every intro animation, no skipping, which sounds like a pain but honestly it builds this weird tension like waiting for a sneeze that never comes. You learn the controls by getting your ass kicked, which is fitting. The violence here isn't flashy, it's desperate. Cramped rooms, cheap furniture, guys who grunt when you hit them. There's a quest structure buried under the grime, but it's less about saving anyone and more about surviving the next corner. The criminal underworld feels lived in, like the walls have absorbed years of bad decisions. I kept expecting a sex scene to pop up, some reward for progress, but it's mostly just blood and bad language. Which, for a softcore site, is almost refreshing. No tits, just tension. Sound design is minimal, mostly thuds and breaking glass. The lack of music makes every footstep feel like a threat. There's a moment where you have to use a bottle on a countertop to make a shiv, and the game doesn't tell you, you just have to know. That kind of old school logic is rare now. The pacing is like a slow burn that occasionally catches fire, then smolders again. Some parts drag, especially the unskippable cutscenes on repeat deaths. But the loop of fail, learn, fail better kept me clicking. Dare to play it alone, or invite company? Either way, someone's getting hurt.
