Layla's apartment is shit. The wallpaper peels in this one corner by the window and I stared at it for like three minutes before making the first choice. That's not a complaint. The game knows exactly what it's doing with these little details. You're not here because it's pretty. You're here because the city promised something and delivered a damp studio with a landlord who texts too much. The opening scene sets the tone fast. Layla unpacks a box, finds an old photo, and you get this dialogue option that seems innocent. Pick wrong and you'll see her mask slip just a tiny bit. The writing doesn't hold your hand. You figure out pretty quick that "ambitious" in this game means "desperate enough to say yes to things that make your stomach tight." I went down a path where she kept her retail job. Boring. Reloaded. Took the club promoter gig. That's where the game actually starts breathing. The guy who hires her, Marcus or whatever, has this way of standing too close that the text describes for exactly one sentence too long. You feel it. What got me was the slow corruption mechanic that isn't really a mechanic. It's just... her. Layla's internal monologue shifts based on what she's done. After the third "compromise" scene, she stops using certain words. Starts using others. I didn't notice until I compared saves. That's the kind of psychological detail that makes the adult content hit different. The scenes themselves range from genuinely tender (there's this one with her neighbor that caught me off guard) to stuff that made me put my phone down and stare at the ceiling. The degradation path is rough. Not in a tryhard edgy way. In a "this feels uncomfortably plausible" way. The game never judges. That's the worst part. You judge yourself. Wish the music wasn't so repetitive. But it won't change. Whatever.
