Lisa's sitting on the couch again, phone in hand, that little half smile she gets when she's texting someone who isn't me. I know that look. I've seen it a dozen times now in different playthroughs and it still makes my stomach do something weird. The game runs entirely through a fake phone interface, messages popping up one by one, and there's this awful delay sometimes where you see the typing indicator and you just know something bad is coming. The whole thing starts so innocent. She's bored, I'm working late, her friend suggests this app called JustAFriend. Harmless, right? The chat format makes everything feel uncomfortably real. You're literally reading her conversations, watching photos appear, and the branching paths mean you can steer her toward staying faithful or... not. I went down the NTR route first because apparently I hate myself, and there's this one scene where she starts lying about where she's been. The messages get shorter. She takes longer to reply. And you're just sitting there scrolling through it like you're snooping through someone's actual phone. It's invasive in a way that got under my skin. What's weird is how the parallel storylines work. You lose one character, another pops up. I got so focused on this guy Marcus that I completely missed the other branch developing with her coworker until it was too late. Some characters just vanish permanently if you mess up certain choices. No warning, no second chance. Gone. The NTS stuff hits different too, more about the emotional unraveling than just the physical betrayal. There's a moment where Lisa sends a photo and you realize she's wearing something you've never seen before and the game doesn't even comment on it, just lets that detail sit there. That's the stuff that lingers. Not the explicit scenes, though those are there and they're fine I guess, but the quiet moments where you're reading a conversation and suddenly understand you've already lost her and didn't even notice when it happened.
