La Carrera [Demo]

So there's this moment, right, where Sofia's just got out the shower and the bathroom door doesn't quite catch. Manuel's in the kitchen, pretending to be super interested in yesterday's paella. The whole game is basically that moment stretched out over a Madrid summer. The heat is its own character, making everyone leave doors ajar, wear less, forget normal boundaries. I spent an embarrassing amount of time just... listening. The walls are thin, the game tells you that, and it's not kidding. You hear her humming, her phone conversations, the little creak of her bed. The AI art is janky. Let's be real. Sometimes her hand looks like a melted candle, other times her expression is pure uncanny valley. But weirdly it works for this grimy, sweaty setup. It's not trying to be a polished VN, it's like a sketchbook of a guy who's slowly losing his mind from the heat and proximity. The voyeur tag is the whole point, not just a feature. You're Manuel, stuck in this 60 square meter box with your 18 year old niece from the village, and the game makes you feel that claustrophobia. The "adventure" is just daily life, her first days at uni, but the real gameplay is where you position yourself, what you choose to notice. I got stuck on this one mini scene where she leaves her laundry on the line. Just a bra. The game let me stare at it for a solid minute with no payoff, no dramatic music, just the sound of a broken fan. That's the game. It's a study in tension that never breaks. The romance tag is almost a joke, it's more a slow erosion of sense. No big drama, just a man and a girl and a summer that won't end. Forgot to mention the student tag, but that's just her excuse to be there, to be busy and distracted while you're not. The incest is the whole unspoken engine, never crass, just this constant, low level hum of wrongness. Like a fridge that's about to die.
