You ever open one of these sandbox trainers and immediately think, okay, where’s the skip button for the part of my brain that remembers the source material? Pirate Trainer isn't here to be faithful. It’s here to take Nami and Nojiko and Charlotte and Makino and just... run them through a very specific meat grinder of turn based combat that is actually just foreplay with numbers. I spent maybe twenty minutes just trying to figure out the groping mechanic timing. The 2DCG art is static but the animations, when they trigger, have that weird jerky quality that somehow makes the whole thing feel more desperate. Which fits, I guess. The sandbox structure means you wander around this bootleg One Piece fantasy map looking for scenes. There's a moment early on with Nojiko where the dialogue tree is so blunt it circles back around to being funny. She’s asking about your life goals and the next prompt is basically "touch butt." No poetry. Just a button. And then the turn based system kicks in with these stats that don’t matter at all except to unlock the next position. Vaginal, anal, oral, it’s all gated behind a grind that feels like someone modded a JRPG battle system into a brothel sim. The prostitution thread with Makino is... I mean, it’s there. It’s a thing you can do. The economy is broken in a way that I don’t think is accidental, you’re never really meant to care about the money, just the unlock tree. I wish the teasing sequences had more variety before the clothes come off. They won’t change it though, it’s baked in. The big tits and big ass tags aren’t lying, the proportions are absurd, like someone inflated the original character designs with a bike pump. Charlotte’s scene has this one handjob animation loop that stutters if you click too fast and honestly? That bug is the most character the game shows. Makes me think about how these games always promise "adventure" in the tags but the adventure is just which hole you’re clicking on next. The male protagonist has all the personality of a wet sock but that’s standard. I tabbed out to check Discord and forgot I was playing for a solid ten minutes. The music loop still haunts me. Not because it’s bad but because it’s just... there. Persistent. Like a mosquito. Anyway the Nami scene unlocks way too late for how central she is to the thumbnail, just saying.
