Shinobi: Forged Bonds

The achievement list for this one is basically a checklist of which Naruto girls you've managed to, you know. Started with Sakura because she's the default first quest giver, figured I'd speedrun the pink hair. But then Shizune's route unlocked and holy shit, the whole thing derailed. Her scenes have this quiet intensity that the others don't, like she's been waiting for someone to actually notice her instead of Tsunade for once. Didn't expect that to be the one I kept reloading saves for. The simulator tag is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. It's a visual novel with a stat grind slapped on, not some deep ninja life management thing. You click tasks, numbers go up, new dialogue options appear. Sometimes the translation just gives up completely mid sentence and you're left guessing what Ino is actually mad about. The art is inconsistent too, some CGs look traced from official art while others feel like someone's first attempt at digital coloring. Lady Tsunade's proportions change between scenes like she's got three different character designers who never spoke to each other. Found myself stuck on a quest loop for twenty minutes because the trigger to advance Hinata's path is hidden behind a random stat check the game never hints at. Had to dig through a forum thread on F95zone where someone posted the exact numbers needed. That's the real experience, not the ninja fantasy. The parody elements are surface level, names and outfits slapped onto a generic amnesia plot. But I kept playing anyway because Tenten's route, despite having the least content, somehow has the most genuine dialogue. She talks like an actual person instead of a walking fetish delivery system. The whole thing is a mess but I've got 100% completion now so what does that say about me.
