Forest Rhapsody

Jenna, my secretary, keeps giving me these looks. The kind that say she knows exactly what kind of mess this hotel is and she's not even pretending to be professional about it anymore. Uncle left me half the Shining Resort and honestly the books are a disaster, missing payments, staff that act way too familiar, and a maid service that apparently comes with... extras. The maid uniform here isn't just for cleaning rooms if you catch my drift. First morning there, one of the housekeepers corners me in the penthouse suite and I swear the dialog options felt like a trap. Pick wrong and you look like an idiot, pick right and well. The art style caught me off guard. Not in a bad way but like. Some CGs are rougher than others and it almost adds to the sleazy hotel vibe somehow? Business sim part is whatever, click this menu upgrade that thing, but the scenes. Jenna has this thing she does with her glasses during one of the late night "meetings" that I keep thinking about. There's a line she says about needing to inspect the accounts thoroughly and then suddenly we're nowhere near the accounts. Wish there was more branching jealousy stuff. The maid character clearly knows about the secretary and vice versa but it never boils over the way I wanted. Like let them fight over me properly you know? The game treats you like the boss but sometimes that means the women are just... available without much chase. Part of the appeal is the obsession, the possessiveness, and it pulls its punches there. The hotel setting is actually perfect for this. Locked doors, late nights, everyone pretending to be professional while absolutely not being professional. Uncle definitely knew what he was doing leaving me in this situation. The maid uniform stays on more often than you'd expect which. Okay fair. But when it doesn't stay on the CG quality varies wildly and I just have to accept that.
