That low hum before the machine goes sideways, the one the game loops for a solid minute while you're clicking through dialogue. It got under my skin. Not in a "this is creepy" way but like when you're at the dentist and the drill pitch hits that exact frequency where your jaw tingles. I sat there, hand on my mouse, genuinely unsettled. Then the flash, the crackle, and you're in some furry parallel universe where your lab partner is suddenly a tiger with bedroom eyes and a completely different history with you. The art's rough. I mean really rough. Lines don't always connect, proportions shift between panels, and there's this one background in the lab that looks like it was sketched on a napkin during a lunch break. But here's the thing. When that tiger guy, Kael I think his name was, leans in close and the writing actually commits to the tension? I stopped caring about the jank. His new personality in this dimension is this quiet, protective type, and there's a scene where he's explaining how you two were apparently together here, and the dialogue does this thing where it's almost too earnest. Like someone's actual confession spilling out before they can filter it. The sex scenes are text heavy, no animation, just static images that shift occasionally. One moment with a wolf character who's now inexplicably your landlord had me laughing because the description went full purple prose, "his heat flooding your senses" and all that. But then it circled back to this genuinely sweet beat about loneliness and wanting to be believed. I don't know. I was there for the spank material and ended up feeling kinda tender about a badly drawn wolf man. Soundtrack is mostly forgettable synth loops except for one piano track that plays during the quieter dimension hopping sequences. It's too loud in the mix, drowns out the already sparse sound effects. I had to dig through a buried options menu that's literally just a text file you edit. Not kidding. The game's folder has a "settings.txt" and you change volume values manually. Found that out from a Reddit thread. Dare to play it alone, or invite company?
