The king’s new quest is basically “go fetch my runaway daughter” but the moment you see her portrait you know this isn’t some rescue mission, it’s a recruitment drive for your personal collection. And that’s the whole vibe really. You’re this ex-brotherhood guy, dad’s dead, the order’s dust, but you still nod along when the crown calls because what else are you gonna do. The game doesn’t pretend to be polished, the 3dcg models have that slightly stiff Poser-era look where boobs defy physics in the best way and everyone’s skin has this plastic sheen like action figures left in the sun. I spent way too long on the first tavern scene just rotating the camera around the barmaid’s chest because the jiggle was hypnotic, not gonna lie. Combat is there I guess, click this slash that, but the real mechanic is deciding who lives, who dies, who ends up in your household wearing progressively less clothing. The male domination tag isn’t subtle, you’re literally building a harem in a medieval kingdom and the dialogue options range from “noble knight” to “I’m taking you home now”. There’s this one elf character, forget her name, the way her questline branches if you kill her captor versus sparing him, it actually changes her personality which surprised me because I expected the writing to be an afterthought. The big ass tag delivers, there’s a scene in the royal baths that’s just gratuitous and I respect that. The fantasy setting is mostly an excuse for big tits in corsets and I’m fine with it. The adventure part meanders, sometimes you’re solving a kingdom-level threat, sometimes you’re just deciding which girl sleeps in your bed tonight. The game remembers your choices in weird ways, like a minor character from act one showing up pregnant later and you forgot you even clicked that option. It’s messy and unpolished and the UI looks like a spreadsheet had a baby with a porn site from 2007. But I kept clicking. The brotherhood lore is actually interesting when it bothers to show up, your dad’s legacy hanging over everything, but then a pair of tits bounces into frame and you forget what you were brooding about. Classic.
