Occupational Hazards Episode 2 V0.4.0

The cartel HQ on planet 2 has this one job where you're basically a mule for some chastity gear and the whole thing spirals into a scene that's way more involved than it has any right to be. You think you're just doing a fetch quest but nope, the game remembers you're wearing one of those collars from the factory and suddenly the dialogue branches into something genuinely uncomfortable in the best way. The writing here doesn't flinch. It's not polished, the UI fights you sometimes, and the inventory system still feels like it was designed by someone who hates right-click functionality, but when it locks into a moment it works. The dating system is a mess but I kind of love it. You call them, they don't call back, you call again, nothing happens, and then out of nowhere they ask you out. The dev literally had to explain this in the patch notes because it's so unintuitive. That's not good design but it's also weirdly realistic? Like yeah, sometimes people are just bad at texting back until they're not. The machine masturbation scene on the ship is hidden behind some rumor asking at the bar which is also broken because only two of the five rumor responses actually lead anywhere. The other three are placeholder text. In a public alpha. Whatever, the two that work unlock some solid content including a brothel that's surprisingly fleshed out for how barebones everything else is. The furry stuff is present but not overwhelming, mostly concentrated in the bar and brothel NPCs. The boobs physics are janky in that specific Ren'Py way where they move like water balloons filled with slightly too much water. The military blockade scenes are aggressively linear, you basically get funneled to planet 2 whether you want to go there or not, and the emergency clothing mechanic exists solely because the game can softlock you naked on your ship if you sell the wrong items. I wish the starmap had more than two planets but that's the whole game right now. The autosave backup is genuinely useful though, saved my ass when a dialogue tree dead-ended during a cartel job. The chastity gear integration is more seamless than it has any right to be for something added in a point release.
