I keep thinking about the library scene. Not the whole thing, just that one moment where Sherman's glasses fog up from the heat of the spell circle and he doesn't wipe them. He just squints through the condensation while the book's pages start turning themselves, and there's this low hum that the game's sound design absolutely nails. It's not a scary hum. The humor lands somewhere between intentional and "oh god they really left that in." There's a bit where Sherman tries to explain the magic system to his only friend George and George just stares at him like he's explaining NFT projects at a funeral. I laughed. I also cringed. The spell combinations are genuinely interesting though. You mix different words from the book and get wildly different outcomes, some of which the game clearly didn't plan for. I managed to summon what I think was supposed to be a succubus but the animation glitched and she just T-posed aggressively while Sherman looked impressed. I couldn't stop laughing. That's staying in the game forever because the dev clearly abandoned this project and honestly? I respect it. The sad endings though. That's why I'm here. There's one where Sherman gets exactly what he wanted and it's the worst thing that could happen to him. The game doesn't telegraph it. You just pick the wrong spell combination and suddenly the tone shifts and Sherman's standing in the library alone with this hollow look and the book is closed and you know he's going to come back tomorrow and do it all again. No resolution. No lesson. Just a geek with a magic book and absolutely no wisdom about how to use it. I wish more games understood that sometimes the best ending is the one that makes you feel a little sick. The sex scenes are fine. They're animated with the same energy as a PowerPoint transition. But the emptiness afterward? That's the real content.
