So I'm looking at my shelf, right, the one with the special editions and the resin statues, and I'm thinking about how this Dimitrescu's Trial thing doesn't come in a box. It's just... there. Online. No weight to it. Which is fitting, because the whole thing feels like a fever dream I had after watching a bootleg of an old horror movie while running a temperature. The castle is wrong. Not broken wrong, but wrong like someone described it to the developer over a bad phone connection. Hallways don't connect logically. I spent maybe fifteen minutes just walking in a loop, and I swear a door I came through just wasn't there when I turned around. It's not a bug, it's the point. The whole place is a trap, and Lady D, she's the bait and the snare. Her model is... look, the proportions are absurd. Tits like a fantasy that would break a real spine, and the animation for the titfuck scene has this weird jitter, like the physics engine is having a panic attack. But then she leans down, and the voice work, or what passes for it, hits this tone that's pure female domination, and you forget the jank. You forget your own name. The ahegao face she makes is uncanny, eyes rolling back in a way that's more paranormal than sexy, and I wish they'd fixed the clipping on her dress. They won't. Gameplay is just clicking through dialogue and then these animated scenes. There's a handjob sequence where the male protagonist's superpowers, some vague energy thing, start sparking and she just... laughs. It's a power fantasy that immediately gets crushed. You get a creampie ending that feels almost romantic, which is a strange word for a monster girl who could crush your skull. I kept replaying, not for the story, but because one time a candlestick on a table just floated into the air and I wanted to see if it would happen again. It didn't. I miss physical manuals. You'd get a little art book, maybe a map that makes sense. This is just a file, a weird, horny, broken file that I'll probably delete and then download again next week. The sci-fi elements are barely there, just a flicker of a screen, a mention of a trial. It's a parody that forgot it was joking and became something else entirely.
