There’s a redhead elf early on, the kind with tits that have their own gravitational pull, and the whole sequence with her is a masterclass in pacing. During a handjob scene with a forest witch, there’s this synth line that sounds like a corrupted SNES RPG melody, all warbly and off-key, and it makes the whole thing feel more sinister than sexy. I don’t know if that was the point, but I was more focused on the creepy arpeggio than the big tits bouncing in my face. The audio mixing is a disaster, levels jumping all over the place, but that jank is the charm. It’s like a bootleg cassette you’d find at a con, and I mean that as the highest compliment. What I wish was different, and it won’t be, is the cumshot payoff. For a game built on the concept of a lethal load, the actual shots feel a bit… polite. You get the standard white splatter, a little on the chin, a glazed chest, but where’s the drama? Where’s the visual feedback that this isn’t just a nut, it’s an execution? The witches just sort of sigh and fade out. Tanpopo’s art is so good at drawing a messy, ruined face, but the final moment lacks that punch. The blowjob scene with the shadow witch in the crypt is a perfect example of a build-up that fizzles. The wit in the dialogue is sharp, her threats are genuinely creepy, and then the finish is just… there. Like a party where everyone suddenly remembered they have work tomorrow. Still, that elf. I’ll replay the whole thing just for her.
