Ok so picture this, right? You’re scrolling through the usual stuff and you hit this game, Deathless, and the first thing is, the guy’s a total mess. Like, not even the fun kind of mess you see in those romance games where he just needs a shave and a smile. No, this dude is sleeping rough with his dog Valerie, and something really bad happened before, some tragic event they don't just dump on you all at once. The animated style, it’s 3DCG but rough, deliberately unpolished like the description says. It’s supposed to be a TV show, not a visual novel, so there’s no voice in your head telling you what’s what. Just faces and music. And the music sometimes, it just stops and you’re left with this ambient city noise and a close up of his face looking dead inside. Then out of nowhere, big tits. I mean, the horror tag is there for a reason, it’s not a jump scare, it’s more like a slow creep. You meet this woman, and the whole thing shifts into this raw vaginal sex scene that feels almost wrong because of how broken everything else is. The animation is janky, the bodies don't move perfectly smooth, but the expressions on her face, that’s where the mystery kicks in. Is she real? Is she some mystical thing his brain cooked up? The big ass is there, the curves are all there, but it’s framed like something you shouldn’t be seeing. The mobile game aspect means you’re just tapping through, lying in your own bed, and the whole thing feels grimy in a way that high budget stuff never does. You forget the romance tag is even on the list until a really quiet moment where she just looks at him, and it’s not hot, it’s sad. And then you’re back to wondering if Valerie the dog is going to be okay, which is the real horror if you ask me. The mystery of what happened to him gets buried a bit under the need to just see the next explicit scene, and I kinda forgot what I was even supposed to be solving. It’s a weird loop. The replayability is not about different endings, it’s about wanting to feel that specific kind of uncomfortable again, the one where you’re not sure if you’re supposed to be turned on or calling a therapist.
