Red Flags: Infidelity Island v0.1

The soundtrack to this whole mess is this lo-fi beat that sounds like it was ripped from a royalty free site called "Chill Study Vibes 2017" or something. It's the kind of track you'd hear in a YouTube tutorial for how to fold a fitted sheet, but here it's playing while you're trying to figure out how to get your character's dick sucked by his childhood friend while his girlfriend is literally in the next room. The dissonance is almost art. The devs didn't even bother to code a change in the music when someone walks in on you, it just keeps looping that same tinny, melancholic piano line. It's so unpolished it circles back around to being perfect, like the audio equivalent of a shrug. Hayley's the one. The whole thing is a mess of stiff 3DCG models that look like mannequins with a light sunburn, all stuck on this island for a "summer vacation." But Hayley, man. She's got these eyes that don't quite render right, so she always looks like she's about to cry or cum, and the dialogue for her is this bizarre mix of "we've been friends since we were kids" and then suddenly she's whispering about how much better her tits are than Mia's. You click a dialogue option that just says "Comfort her" and the next render is her on her knees. No transition. Just... blam. The oral sex scene is animated with all the grace of a screensaver from 1998, but the sound design, fuck me, they put all their effort there. It's wet. Aggressively, cartoonishly wet, like someone stirring a bowl of mac and cheese. I couldn't stop laughing but I also couldn't click away. The whole "cheating" tag is basically the only mechanic. Jake, the "fiend," is trying to rail your girl, and Steven, who used to date Mia, keeps finding reasons to be shirtless near her. The game's called something with "Infidelity Island" in the title, I think. It's not even trying to be subtle. There's a moment where you can literally just stare at Emily's ass while she's doing yoga and the game rewards you with a heart icon popping up. A heart. For staring. My favorite minor detail is a stray pixel on Mia's bikini model that I'm pretty sure is just a dead ant on the artist's monitor that got scanned in. I spent five minutes just zooming in on it while the lo-fi beat droned on, ignoring the drama entirely. It was the most engaging part.
