Carrot Cafe Demo (0713 update)

The demo for Carrot Cafe opens with Satoshi, fresh out of high school, landing a job at an all-girls maid cafe. That premise alone should tell you what you're in for. The touch mechanics are simple, you click and drag over the waitress uniform until things start coming off. No mini-game anymore, which is a blessing because the old one was a slog. Now it's just direct interaction, and the game saves your progress with S and loads with L, so you can jump back to any unlocked scene from the gallery. What surprised me is how the visual novel part actually tries to build a little tension. Satoshi is awkward, the girls are all different flavors of shy or bold, and the dialogue has that rough, unpolished charm. The art isn't mind-blowing, but the undress sequences have a nice weight to them. You can almost feel the fabric sliding off. And the sperm hitbox got bigger, so the cumshot moments are less frustrating than before. Still, the demo ends way too soon. You get a taste, then a wall. The sound design is basically nonexistent. No voice acting, just some generic background noise that you'll forget immediately. But the gallery feature is a smart move, because once you unlock a scene, you can replay it without redoing the whole conversation. The uncensored version is hidden behind a Patreon paywall, but the demo itself has a cheeky way to uncensor it if you poke around. Not telling you how, but it's there. Overall, it's a promising little time waster. Not a full meal, more like a free sample at a food court that makes you want the whole plate.
