DeadMoon Survival v1.0

The first thing I noticed was the loading screen. It hangs for a weirdly long time, just a black void with a tiny spinning cog, and I swear I heard a distant moan that might have been a zombie or might have been my laptop fan begging for death. DeadMoon Survival doesn't care about polish, it cares about vibes, and the vibe is grimy survival horror where your next decision could get you eaten or, apparently, get your dick wet. The 3DCG models have that stiff, almost mannequin look, but somehow it works when a bloated, pus colored monster with too many limbs is pinning a woman down. The animations are janky as hell, like a slideshow made of horny action figures, but there's a raw, nasty energy to it. You play a guy, and the game throws you into a world where society is a corpse. Quick choices pop up, and if you hesitate, you die. That's neat. Less neat is how the camera lingers on a pair of massive, impossibly round tits while a character is explaining how her family got torn apart. The tone is all over the place. One minute you're making a desperate choice to save a crying survivor, the next you're peeping on a lesbian couple in a ruined building, the voyeurism scene just kind of there, uncommented on. The male protagonist feels like a blank slate for projecting the worst possible apocalypse boyfriend fantasies, which I guess is the point. I got stuck in a loop where I kept dying to a tentacle monster in a sewer because I was trying to see if the group sex scene with the two milfs would trigger, and it didn't, and I'm still mad about the wasted ten minutes. The RPG elements are bare bones, stats that feel like suggestions more than rules. The groping and teasing bits are surprisingly aggressive, the sound design just a loop of wet slaps and moans that cuts off abruptly. There's a scene where you can let a monster have its way with a captured survivor, multiple penetration shown in that unblinking, slightly cross eyed way the models have. It's dark, sure, but not in a clever way, more in a "we threw in every fucked up tag we could" way. The adventure is mostly clicking through dirty corridors until a sex scene happens, which is honest, I suppose. I wish the big ass was more central, honestly, it's teased in a few models but never gets the focus it deserves.
