Alena 2: Police Story

The memory puzzle thing is weird, right? Like, you're supposed to be matching cards or whatever while someone is... occupied. It's the second game with this Alena character, though you don't need the first one. Female cop hears screaming near a creepy house, standard horror movie decision making, and now she's the one in cuffs. Or worse. The BDSM stuff doesn't mess around. We're talking metal restraints digging into skin, creative use of rope, some electrical play that made me wince. The CG art is static but detailed enough, focusing on the helplessness. Uniform gets progressively torn. There's this one scene with a spreader bar that's... memorable. The "thriller" tag is doing a lot of work, it's more of a torture logic dungeon vibe. The police uniform is a big part of the appeal, watching authority get stripped away literally and otherwise. But the logic puzzles, man. Sometimes it's a simple flip the cards memory game, other times it's a sliding tile thing that felt like it was designed by someone who hates fingers. You're clicking around, trying to concentrate, and the game interrupts with another scene which is, I guess, the point. Distraction as a mechanic. The sound design is mostly just... wet impacts and humming electronics. No voice acting, which is a missed opportunity for a game so focused on interrogation. Wish there was more of a cat and mouse dialogue, but it's mostly just grunts and screams. The torture scenes are explicit, no fade to black cop outs. For a browser game, it runs fine, no crashing. Replayability is basically zero unless you really love pixel hunting for slightly different dialogue after failing a puzzle on purpose. I found myself rushing through the memory games to get back to the punishment sequences, which feels like the intended experience. The "hentai" tag applies loosely, it's more western in its cruelty. Don't expect anime blush. It's grim. Then you win a puzzle and immediately get punished anyway, so the logic breaks down. Classic.
