You know what kills me about most adult visual novels? The way they treat futanari characters like walking fetish dispensers. Like there's nothing going on upstairs, just a dick with legs. Futanari Have a Heart Too doesn't do that, and honestly I was caught off guard by how much that mattered. Diana transfers to Spring Dawn academy looking for peace, no men, no drama. Simple. Then she meets Jeanne and the kinetic novel format means you're strapped in for whatever happens next. No choices, no branching paths. I usually hate that. Feels like reading a book where someone keeps turning the pages too fast. But here it works because the writing actually gives a damn about these two. The first time Diana sees Jeanne naked, there's this long pause where you can feel her brain recalibrating. Not disgust, not fetishization. Just... oh. Oh. And then her hands are everywhere and Jeanne makes this sound, half relief half terror, like she's been holding her breath for years. The animated scenes during the sex are rough around the edges, clearly AI generated art that sometimes gives characters that weird glossy sheen, fingers merging together in ways human anatomy doesn't allow. But the intimacy lands. There's a creampie scene that lingers too long, and a footjob moment that feels like it wandered in from a different game entirely, but the oral sex sequences have this tenderness that almost made me forget I was looking at slightly uncanny 2DCG. The lesbian romance angle gets complicated fast because of the futanari element, and the game doesn't pretend that's simple. Jeanne's been hiding herself, Diana's been running from men, and suddenly they're both confronting what desire actually looks like when the categories get blurry. Some dialogue drags. The AI art inconsistency bugs me more than it should, especially when a character's expression shifts between frames like they're possessed by different emotions. But there's this one scene where Diana just holds Jeanne's face and says nothing, and the animation cycles through this tiny trembling lip movement that somehow communicates more than all the explicit handjob sequences combined. I don't know. Maybe I'm getting soft. Maybe a game with "futanari" in the title shouldn't make me feel things. But here we are.
