The music in this thing. It's this weird, tinny loop that sounds like a broken music box having an argument with a dying phone battery. I hated it for the first ten minutes. Then I caught myself humming it while making actual coffee in my actual kitchen, and that's when I knew the game had done something to my brain. The sound design is deliberately shit, all crunchy footsteps and wet slaps that feel more like a joke than an attempt at immersion. But it works. It sets this grimy, desperate mood that matches the whole "we're broke and life is garbage" premise. You meet Rei, this big titted homeless girl with a tragic backstory, and suddenly you're playing poverty simulator with sex scenes. The management stuff is basic, work, eat, try not to cry, but the voyeurism angle creeps in when you least expect it. There's this one moment where you can watch her shower through a crack in the door, and the game doesn't make it sexy. It makes it sad. The titfuck scene later though? Completely unhinged. The physics are ridiculous, her breasts move like water balloons filled with jello, and the male protagonist's expression never changes from this dead eyed stare. I laughed out loud during what was supposed to be an intimate moment. The dating sim elements are buried under layers of survival mechanics that don't really matter. You can ignore the hunger meter for days and nothing bad happens. Rei just complains more. Her voice acting, if you can call it that, is just these breathy moans that loop during the oral sex scenes. It sounds like someone recorded themselves yawning and pitched it up. The fantasy parody stuff shows up in weird places, like a random wizard who offers you a handjob for gold coins. I still don't know if that was a bug or a feature. The harem aspect never fully develops, which is probably for the best since managing one desperate girl is already too much work. The sandbox lets you wander into scenes you're clearly not leveled for, and the game just shrugs and lets you fail. I respect that.
