My wife has this look she gets now when she’s texting someone. It’s not the same face she makes when messaging her sister about some sale at the mall. This one is more... focused. A little smirk. I was just supposed to be playing a game, you know? This thing on the browser, some animated story about a couple trying to “enhance” things. The husband character, that’s me I guess, he’s all for it. Wants to watch. I picked that option because, hell, why not. The whole setup is on a phone screen in the game. You click around, read texts, look at pictures that get sent. The art is a bit rough, like someone drew it and then didn't bother cleaning up the lines. But the wife character, she’s got this way of tilting her head in the animations that got to me. There’s a part where she’s sending a video. You see her thumb hovering over the send button, and the game makes you click it. I sat there for a solid minute. The voyeur tag is the whole point, right? But it’s not just watching her with someone else. It’s the little things. A notification sound from the game made me check my own real phone once. The game doesn’t have any fancy mechanics. You just tap and watch. Sometimes you get a choice that feels like it matters, but I’m pretty sure the scene plays out the same. I wish the text messages looked more real, they’re too clean. No typos, no awkward pauses. Real people don’t text like that, especially not when they’re sending... well. The teasing is relentless. She’ll describe what happened in this flat, matter-of-fact way while the animation shows something way more explicit. The contrast is weirdly hot. I forgot to mention the sound. There isn’t much, just a looping track that I muted after five minutes. The whole thing feels like a secret you found on someone else’s computer. It’s not polished. That’s probably the point. If it was too slick it would feel fake. This feels like a home movie you shouldn’t be seeing. The marriage in the game isn't falling apart, which is the strange part. They still eat dinner together. They still talk about their day. Then he asks to see the pictures. And she shows him. I kept clicking. The phone in the game buzzed again and I swear I felt it in my own pocket.
