Bloom Again v0.6

the chiptune in the cafe scene is a straight rip of a deep cut from that one kankitsu records compilation and i am HERE for it. like someone fed a gameboy a bossa nova beat and it threw up a little. the sound effects during the footjob scene on the beach though, that wet sand squelch layered under the synth arp, chef's kiss. voice acting is nonexistent which honestly helps the whole diary aesthetic, you're just reading keiichi's messy thoughts while the lo-fi beats loop and he's trying to decide if he should let senri's boyfriend watch or whatever. the 3dcg models have that weird plastic sheen but the brazilian setting pops with color, all those saturated oranges and teals that make the big tits and big asses look like glossy fruit. miu's teasing at the cafe, leaning over the table so her cleavage does that thing, and the multiple choices pop up like old rpg dialogue boxes. i picked the option to let her keep going under the table and the footjob animation was janky as hell, her foot clipping through his shorts, but the writing sold it. the netorare route with hina hit different, the way the diary entries get fragmented and contradictory, like keiichi can't even admit to himself what he's doing. the party scenes feel like a harem anime filler episode where everyone's just vibing and then suddenly you're in a closet with kaede and there's oral happening and the music doesn't change at all, just keeps that same chill beat going. it's disorienting in a good way. i wish the latina characters had more distinct personalities beyond their body types but the interracial dynamics are handled with more nuance than i expected, the vacation romance stuff actually touches on cultural friction instead of just being a fetish delivery system. the mobile game port is garbage though, the touch controls for choices lag and i accidentally picked the wrong dialogue three times during the beach confession scene. ruined the whole emotional arc. still thinking about that soundtrack.
