The battle system is like trying to cook a complicated stew while someone keeps changing the recipe. You got your STR, INT, TEN, CHA, AGI. The usual suspects. But then you lose a fight and instead of a game over screen the monster decides it wants to fuck you. That's the whole vibe right there. You're this outsider on the continent of Mokken, trying to get back to your tribe, but the locals are all massive furry dudes with assets you could bounce a coin off. The turn based combat is genuinely strategic sometimes, you need to think about what abilities to use, and then other times you just let yourself get wrecked on purpose because you saw the enemy sprite and got curious. Don't judge me. Spent way too long in the first dungeon just moving with WASD, solving these little puzzles, and the whole time I'm thinking about this one bear guy back in town. The quest log is branching, they say, choices have wider consequences. I picked a quest that seemed simple, fetch this thing, and suddenly I'm locked out of talking to a blacksmith I wanted to, you know, get to know better. The crafting is basic, collect stuff, make potions, equip gear that changes your look. I crafted a hat that made me look like an absolute clown and wore it through a very serious story moment. Couldn't stop laughing. Wish the inventory sorted itself automatically but it doesn't and I just live with the mess now, like my real apartment. The NSFW scenes come with warnings for kinks, which is considerate. The art is 2D, very much outsider art energy, not polished but it has this raw horny vision behind it. Big ass is an understatement. Some scenes trigger after battles, some from character progression. The writing during those moments is direct, no poetry, just bodies and friction and need. Playing this on my phone during lunch break at work was a mistake because the screen buttons are small and I accidentally clicked through dialogue I wanted to read. The fantasy adventure part is actually there, a whole destiny to discover, but honestly I keep getting distracted by every new monster that looks at me funny. Replayability? If you like seeing all the different ways a wolf man can rearrange your protagonist, you'll be here a while.
