Orc Covenant [Final+DLC]

The loading screen itself is a mess of sketchy lines and colors that don't quite stay inside the borders, like someone drew this during a very horny lunch break. Xareth, our elf prince, has this permanently worried expression even when he's supposed to be seducing an orc chieftain, and honestly? It works. The whole thing feels like finding a stranger's private fantasy sketchbook. Getting the orcs on your side means a lot of wandering through surprisingly big maps. Twenty hours they claim, and I believe it because I got lost in a forest for what felt like forever just trying to find a specific warrior. The black and white art switches to color during the scenes, which is jarring in the best way. One minute you're looking at a rough pencil drawing of a camp, next minute there's a full color image of an orc's hand, and I mean his whole hand, disappearing somewhere that made me put down my tea. The music tries so hard to be epic, all drums and dramatic strings, but it loops so aggressively I had to mute it after the third encounter. Which was a threesome with two orcs. The anatomy on these monsters is... dedicated. Someone really thought about how every muscle connects, especially the ones in their massive green backsides. The story wants to be this grand political drama about reclaiming a throne from a conman king, but then you'll trigger a scene where Xareth gets cornered by three warriors and suddenly politics don't matter at all. There's this one route where you romance a scarred veteran orc, and the dialogue gets genuinely sweet between the explicit bits. Then another path has you basically becoming the tribe's communal stress relief, and the tonal whiplash gave me vertigo. Four love interests but dozens of endings, which means most endings are probably you failing spectacularly or getting railed into an early grave. The groping mechanics, if you can call them that, are just clicking on body parts until the scene progresses. No subtlety whatsoever. The interracial aspect is the whole point, elf and orc bodies contrasted in ways that highlight how fragile Xareth looks next to them. I wish the adventure parts had better signposting because walking in circles kills the mood, but then you stumble into a group scene and forget why you were annoyed. The multiple penetration tag isn't kidding around. At all.
