House of Maids v0.0.3A

I gotta say, the voice work in House of Maids is what keeps me coming back. There's this one maid, Sofia, who got a design update in the latest build, and her VA does this thing where she switches from formal "welcome to the mansion" politeness to breathy whispers when you pick certain dialogue branches. It's not AAA quality, obviously, the audio mixing sometimes peaks when characters get loud during the interactive scenes, but that almost adds to the charm? Like you're hearing something raw and unpolished in a way that feels deliberate. The setup is ridiculous. Photographer goes to an island for a shoot, model vanishes, suddenly there's a mansion full of maids in uniforms that defy physics. The futa content is optional, which I appreciate because sometimes I'm in the mood and sometimes I just want the standard hentai dynamics. The branching dialogues actually matter here, unlike a lot of visual novels where choices feel cosmetic. I ended up on a route with one of the servants that I didn't even know existed until my third playthrough, and the CG unlock for that path was genuinely surprising. Not gonna spoil it but let's just say the "secret CG artworks" mentioned in the changelog aren't kidding around. The game's still in early builds, v0.2.4 on Patreon versus the older v0.0.3A that's floating around, and you can feel the seams. Some typos still linger despite the fix list claiming they squashed them. The mansion location unlocks at a weird pacing point where I thought I'd broken the game for a second. But the animated characters have this jittery quality to their idle poses that makes them feel alive in a way static sprites never do. I wish the gallery navigation was less clunky, but that's probably not changing anytime soon. The whole thing runs in browser so at least I don't have to deal with downloads. One of the new characters in the update has a voice that reminds me of someone from an old anime I can't place and it's driving me insane.
