My Housemate is a Maid

The maid one, right? She’s got this deadpan stare that’s basically a challenge. You pick some dumb dialogue option like “I noticed you dusting the shelves” and her sprite barely changes but the text box goes absolutely feral. Next thing you know she’s got her apron off and the whole power dynamic flips. I actually laughed out loud, then felt weird about laughing, then clicked to see her bent over the cleaning supplies anyway. The game knows it’s trashy and leans in hard. The sound design is just... a single looping track that drills into your skull. I muted it after two minutes and put on some lo-fi beats instead, which honestly improved the whole vibe. Made the awkward silences between moans feel artsy. The voice acting, if you can call it that, is just high-pitched squeaks on repeat. It’s so bad it circles back to being hypnotic. You’ll miss it when it’s gone. There’s this one choice with the shy girl where you can either compliment her hair or just straight up grab her. Picking the hair option leads to this surprisingly long, almost sweet conversation before she drags you into a supply closet. The grab option just ends the game immediately with a slap sound effect. I respect that. No idea why the “dating sim” part is so aggressive, it’s like the devs forgot they were making a romance game halfway through and just wanted to get to the hentai scenes. The multiple endings thing is a lie, by the way. You just fail forward until you’ve seen all the girls naked. I’m not complaining.
