A quiz. That's what it calls itself, anyway. Like one of those BuzzFeed things from ten years ago that tells you which sandwich you are, except this one's got a blonde elf in lingerie staring at you while you click through questions about... well, you know. The redhead shows up later. I kept thinking about how these characters don't really have a choice in being here, frozen in their little browser window, waiting for someone to answer whether they prefer this or that. Consent in virtual spaces gets weird when you really sit with it. Not that anyone's sitting with anything philosophical here, obviously. The questions themselves are absurdly direct. No subtlety whatsoever. One minute you're clicking "yes" to something mundane, the next you're confronted with a scenario that makes you glance at your door even though you live alone. The elf just keeps looking at you with that expression. Unblinking. I spent way too long on one question about public settings, not because I was thinking deeply about my answer, but because the redhead's lingerie set had this lace pattern that didn't quite align with her character model and it bothered me more than it should have. These things matter. Or they don't. I can't decide. The results screen is where everything falls apart in the best way. Whatever algorithm they're using to calculate your "sexuality profile" is clearly just random number generation dressed up in provocative language, but honestly? That's almost better. There's something liberating about a test that doesn't actually judge you, just pretends to while showing you increasingly explicit imagery. The lin character, whatever lin means, appears at the end and I still don't know if she's supposed to be a reward or a warning. Maybe both. The whole thing feels like it was coded by someone who understood exactly what they were doing and also absolutely nothing about game design, which is its own kind of authenticity. Dare to play it alone, or invite company?
