I keep thinking about the neighbor's cat from three years ago. Not relevant but the way it would just sit on the fence watching everything, that same feeling I got playing Rebecca. You're this guy, right, middle aged, got the wife and kid and the steady job. Everything is supposed to be fine. Then this girl shows up at your house and suddenly you're that cat, just... observing. The game leans hard into voyeurism and it's weirdly compelling for something that looks like it was rendered on a potato. The 3DCG is rough. Like really rough. Characters move like they're underwater sometimes and the textures pop in and out. But here's the thing, I didn't care after about twenty minutes. There's this scene where you're just watching her through a doorway, and the janky animation somehow makes it more uncomfortable, more real. You're this creep with a mortgage and suddenly you're groping someone half your age. The game doesn't let you forget how wrong it is, even while it's showing you exactly what you clicked for. The romance tag is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. It's more like obsession dressed up in nice clothes. The masturbation scenes are frequent and the vaginal sex when it happens is explicit, no fade to black nonsense. But the build up is what got me. There's this moment where you're alone in the living room and she walks in, and the game just lets you sit there being a pervert. No big music swell, no dramatic zoom. Just a man making terrible choices in real time. I wish the son character did anything. He's just kind of there, a reminder that you're destroying a family I guess. The job stuff disappears after the first few scenes too. But I kept clicking. Not because it was good exactly, but because it knew what it was. A grimy little story about a man who had everything and decided it wasn't enough. The groping mechanics are simple, click and drag basically, but they work. Too well maybe.
