Whoever programmed Rem’s card AI has never played a fair game in their life and I respect the hustle. The setup is a logic tile game where you cover a lower number to build score, reach 100, and the girl in the maid uniform loses a piece of clothing. Simple. Except Rem pulls off these turn one chains that feel like watching a speedrunner break a casino. I spent twenty minutes stuck at 87 points while she just kept resetting my board with this tiny smug pixel smile. I wasn't even horny anymore, just professionally offended. And can we appreciate they used a real model in cosplay instead of some generic render. The maid uniform looks like it was ironed with hopes and dreams, and the striptease progression actually has her fidgeting with the hem and looking away before each reveal. That little hesitation. Chef kiss. The Re:Zero branding is doing some heavy lifting though, the dialogue pops up in broken phrases like a bootleg visual novel and sometimes the images take an extra second to swap which kills the rhythm completely. But then you hit 100 points and everything loads at once and fuck, that was worth the emotional damage.
