The whole thing starts with a wet t-shirt contest that somehow turns into a boxing match. I don't know who thought that was a logical progression but I'm not complaining. It's alarmingly easy to lose yourself in just staring at the jiggle physics while the coins pile up. The sim aspect of it, the part where you're meant to be strategic with your punches? Yeah, that went out the window for me around the fourth time I triggered a splash animation. There's a secret combo that makes one girl slip in a puddle and the whole sequence is genuinely funny, not just hot. The upgrade system though. My god. So you farm coins to buy, let's say, a smaller bikini top that apparently has no structural integrity. The bounce gets more... pronounced. It's the kind of unlockable that makes you feel both rewarded and a little bit like you need to reconsider your life choices. I kept thinking there'd be more to the actual sport of it, you know? Like maybe a real combo system that requires timing beyond watching two polygons mash together in a pool of water. The lesbian tag is there but it's mostly implied, the way they grapple on the wet mat is certainly more than just competitive. I wanted a real rivalry, some trash talk, maybe something that tied the pool setting to the boxing better than just "everything is slippery." One scene that sticks is when you finally get enough coins for the premium swimsuit. It dissolves. Straight up dissolves in the pool water during a round and the fight just keeps going. No one acknowledges it. The boxers just keep swinging, soaking wet, the whole thing now extra transparent. That one detail is burned into my brain more than any of the other visual unlocks because it's so absurdly dedicated to its own bit. I wish the coin grind wasn't such a slog just to see it again. Might as well be a gacha game at that point. My clicking finger is tired and honestly I don't think the gameplay was supposed to make me sweat this much. Or maybe it was.
