I keep thinking about the color red. Not blood red or anger red, something softer. The exact shade of the devil's lips when she first calls me pretty. And how weirdly okay I was with that. So there's this visual novel, right, about a guy who's been lying to himself for 18 years. Not just the usual closet stuff, but something deeper and weirder and hornier in ways that made me forget to check my phone for like two hours. The writing is... honestly? It's clunky sometimes. Translations feel a bit off, like someone used Google but then tried to fix it manually and gave up halfway. But then a line will hit and you're just sitting there going oh. Oh no. The demon lady. She's not some evil temptress from a bad hentai. She's genuinely seductive in a way that made me uncomfortable and then comfortable and then uncomfortable again for completely different reasons. The game's not subtle about what it wants from you. The protagonist starts wearing things, thinking things, and there's this one scene with stockings that I won't forget anytime soon. The CG art is actually decent when it commits to a moment. Not perfect, some anatomy gets a little creative if you stare too long, but the mood carries it. The futanari stuff sneaks up on you. Wasn't expecting that turn but honestly it fits the whole "becoming someone else" vibe. By the time the physical changes start happening, you're already so deep in the protagonist's head that it feels inevitable. Like yeah, of course. This was always where we were going. Wish there was more actual gameplay. It's mostly clicking through text and occasional choices that don't seem to change much until suddenly they do. Missed a whole branch apparently and found out through Twitter of all places. The music loops too aggressively and I had to mute it after the third repeat of the same melancholic piano. But the quiet moments between words, the way characters look at each other, that's what stuck. Not art, not polish. Just this weird ache of being seen.
