This game, Proxima Commander, is like if someone took the slow burn dread of Alien and then said, but what if instead of a xenomorph, the monster was just the crushing weight of human need and bad decisions, fifty years from home. The graphics are 3DCG but deliberately unpolished, it looks like a high end Source Filmmaker project from 2015 that someone abandoned, and honestly that jank adds to the whole fucked up vibe. You're not some hero, you're a Commander who broke protocol, and now your crew is staring at you with these dead eyes, and you just know the first time you pull out a sex toy from a storage locker, it's not going to be for a fun time, it's going to be a psychological event.
